I've parked a website.
I always felt a little funny about having a website to promote my writing when I'm not yet published. It's not going to lead an editor or agent to my door and I honestly feel if I don't have something to promote, why put myself out there.
It seems this is my old "don't notice me" self coming back to haunt my life. However, in the present, information-rich climate it's more important than ever to be visible. So, even though I'm still tweaking it a little, here is my website. It links to my Twitter, my blog, and my Facebook page (which you can also find here) and I hope to add more content as time goes on.

Tastefully done, Jeanie. Nice. Now I definitely have to get my daughter to sit down and help me with my Facebook and Twitter pages. Both are not finished and I never go on them.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to cyber thingies I feel hey there's a bunch of people more experienced in writing than me. Who am I to try and give advice. That's why on my blog it's mostly about me, ideas, and occasionally about an author such as Hugh Prather and Raymond Chandler.

ReplyDeleteDonna, The nice thing about being part of a group is that people bring their own talents to the mix. I'm still learning about Twitter, FB and the overall web presence needed to be successful in publishing. (But I'm feeling pretty good about it.) We share what we know. If I can help...ask!
Website looks great. Good luck with that. I have been spending the past four days teaching myself dreamweaver so I can build a site for my business. Man, it is hard, so I commend you on yours.
